Belfast running club are pleased once again announce this event open to all members. This event is in memory of our friend Keith who we sadly lost in September 2020. Keith was a big part of our club as well as volunteering for Jog Belfast. He was great at making people feel welcome & encouraging them and always a story or a joke with everyone who was lucky to meet him.
The idea is that members have an opportunity to participate in a one off event to compete for our new trophy and most importantly to have a get together, reflect, park all our woes and enjoy a happy place with fellow members and friends.
This year’s event is once again a “Naked Parkrun” using the parkrun route at Waterworks parkrun course. And before some of you get terrified (or excited!) the naked parkrun is not quite as it sounds so you can wear your running gear (running naked is optional but would be not advisable in mid November!) .
As in previous years the “Naked parkrun” is where you guess what time you will run course but will not be allowed to wear a watch/phone or any other timing device (that’s the naked bit) and whoever gets closest to their time is the winner.

If you are taking part please let us know beforehand if possible and send your predicted time to us at info@belfastrunningclub.co.uk.
Hopefully we’ll see as many members as possible taking part but also for the event to run smoothly we will need a few volunteers to do timekeeping and marshal duties around the course so if you can help out it will be much appreciated.
Also although the event is also our 10th race series event for this year you do not need to be taking part in the race series to participate in this event.
Following the event we hope to be invading a nearby coffee shop for tea coffee and refreshments.
